    An Aphorism For Christians

    By  Wang  Ming  Dao

One shoule establish oneself on foundation of fearing God.  One should love one's neighbor as the way of life.  Be absolutely honest with others.  Discipline oneself strictly.  When in humble and destitute ciroumstances, never flatter others.  When in wealth and high positi-on, never be proud. One should never be envious.  Rejoice with those who benefit, and never rejoice in the calamity of others. Sharing sorrow with those who are under adversity.  When with others, if benefit occurs, don't rush forward for it.  When working with others, if danger occurs, don't ever flinch. If you have offended others or broken other's things, you should admit your fault and pay for the damage. If you are offended or wronged,be lenient. If you have benefited others, consider it you duty. If others benefit you, consider it their benevolence and be grateful. When handling money, large or small sum, be honest, clean and upright. When making friends, male or female, be fair, frank and pure of mind. Don't make a promise rushly, when ever it is made, work hard to fulfill it. If it is not a must, don't borrow, when borrowed, repay or return as soon as possible. Revere one's elders as well as others' elders.  Love one's own children as well as others'.  Seeing others good qualities, make them your model. Seeing other shortcomings, make them your warning examples. Restrain oneself, slow to anger and slow to get impatient.  Guard your mouth, slow to speak.  Don't spread words when you have no evidence.  Don't act unbecomingly, don't have absurd desire for others wealth. Don't watch with folded arms over others difficulties,  help them when possible. Don't give flattering titles unto men. Don't judge and criticize others behind their back.  When working for others be diligent and loyal.  When dealing with people be honest and frank.  Detest evil things as one detests scorpions.  Admire righteousness as one admires pearls.  Rather lose one's money, don't lose trust. Rather give up one's purity and virtue.  Don't cover up one's shortcomings, don't brag on your good qualities.  Have cleam body and cleam clothes.  Don't do things that incur disgust, don't speak words that incur dislike.  Refrain from smoking, drinking and gambling.  Abandon seductive clothing and ornament. Think of others what ever you do. Glority God where ever you go.
